Allow 7-14 days for germination
Broadcast or sow in bands ~150 seeds/square foot or 300-400 seeds/square foot for microgreens. Cover with a thin layer of soil and keep evenly moist.
Keep evenly moist in soil sandy/loamy soil. Cress also does well in gently running water.
Prefers cool weather. Will tolerate light frost.
A cut and come again green or in trays as a microgreen. Cut leaves ~1/2-1″ from soil and let leaves regrow for 3-5 harvests.
USES & COOKING SUGGESTIONS
Cress is often used as a microgreen to top salads, sandwiches, garnish soups, steaks, fish, chilies…virtually almost anything!
For larger leaves, add to your salad mix, lightly braise or steam, or puree into a dressing or pesto.
