USES & COOKING SUGGESTIONS
An old Swiss HEIRLOOM. Tall, vigorous plants with attractive purple-flowered plants bear large, tender, flavorful, exceptionally sweet snow peas. People sometimes mistake the showy flowers for sweet peas. 5-6 ft. vines need trellising. Purple flowers and young leaves make a beautiful and delicious addition to spring salads. About 20% of individual peas are purple when allowed to fully mature, past the normal eating stage for snow peas. This is normal for this variety. Introduced in the US by Turtle Tree. AKA”Swiss Giant”.
