DAYS TO HARVEST
USES & COOKING SUGGESTIONS
(Rudbeckia hirta) Classic Black-eyed Susan. Golden-yellow flowers with dark brown centers. Blooms in second year (in rare cases in the first year) August until frost. Perennial and naturalizing when happy. Grows in well-drained fields, but also beautiful in perennial borders. Great as a cut flower. Gold finches and other birds love to eat the seeds when left in the garden in the winter. Great for wildflower meadows.
